Dear Gaye:
I am an attorney and former electrical engineer. My practice focuses on Internet and on-line law. I was recently interviewed by PC World Magazine as an expert on the legal implications of e-mail (the interview can be heard using RealAudio at http://www.pcworld/news/newsradio). Another interview regarding this same topic will appear in an upcoming issue of Sales & Marketing Management Magazine.
I write and speak frequently on the legal issues of doing business on the Internet, corporate computer/Internet policies, e-mail, legal audits of Web sites, electronic commerce, and electronic evidence. I have published over twenty articles on these subjects. Most recently, the IEEE Spectrum and Management Review magazines have agreed to publish articles I have written on negotiating Web site agreements. The articles should appear in the June and July issues, respectively.
Last month LAN Magazine published an extensive article I wrote on corporate computer use policies. The article can be found at http://www.lanmag.com. This topic should be of particular interest to you.
Another article that may be of interest is one I wrote on legal audits of Web sites. The article provides an outline of some of the legal issues that can arise from operating a Web site. it can be found at http://www.wilsonweb.com/wmt2/issue29.htm.
If I can be of further service, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Overly
