Dear Professor Karjala,

in the discussion on term extension which we had on this list some time ago, I was mentioning the treaty (when, as I saw it, you tried to discredit Europeans by saying they were discriminating against U.S. copyright owners). Maybe you remember.

The treaty of 1892 is still in effect and it is one of the bilateral treaties which are not violating Berne (according to either Art. 18 or 20 Berne - I can't remember which of the two it was).
