Quite correct about Canada. Bill C-32 was passed by the House of Commons just before Easter and also received 1st reading in the Senate. It has a provision that will result in a levy being charged to purchasers of blank recording tape, which will then revert to the appropriate rights groups. In 'return' for this, home taping of music will become a permitted use, for non-comercial purposes only, of course.
