Hello -
Thank you for the information regarding the trademark issue. It was quite helpful.
I have a question regarding public domain, but speeches not photographs. It's my understanding that speeches given by government officials in association with their office are "public domain". For example: President Clinton's State of the Union address would be public domain, while his campaign speechs would not be in the public domain. Senator Dole's speeches in association with his office as senator would be public domain, but his campaign speeches wouldn't be, nor any speeches he has made since he left office. Is this correct?
Also, is notice required for speeches before 1989? I think speeches that are publicly performed do not require any further notice, but am not sure. All other works published before 1989 appear to require notice.
Thank you in advance for your help.
