In response to the question concerning the effect on the West decision and West's decision to contnue publishing legal materials, I believe it is safe to say West will continue publishing. Who would fill void? At worst, this opens the door for more competition, but West will undoubtedly remain the market flagship.
A find a more interesting question in, should this case make it to the Supremes (even just on cert review) how many of the justices will be recusing themselves from deliberations due to the junkets, and other special considerations, that West regularly bestows on Supreme Court justices.
