For commercial purposes: I agree.
Neither in Spain, and in many countries (due to the Bern Convention) The point is: it is accepted, that you can make a legal copy for your personal use. It looks full of sense that you can also make a written translation for your personal use.
(Although it may be literally ilegal -in Spain it is-, it is not a crime, and I guess the compensation would not be amazingly high)
What happens if you ask somebody else to do the translation for you?
