I have been viewing this discussion from a distance, so I'm not sure if the comparison has been made, but, where would one draw a line between the use of President Clinton's speeches (assuming the use was over some line) and the handiwork in Forrest Gump with Kennedy, Johnson, and the like.

As an aside, of the three possible explanations at the end of Contact, why is the one that, whatshisname, the rich guy, faked the whole thing, not plausible?
