Canadian, UK rights of publicity/privacy?

Do Canada and the UK have rights of publicity/privacy in the individual's photo, voice and persona, separate from copyright or moral rights questions, and similar to those rights granted on a state-by-state basis in the United States? I would appreciate any pointers to a good resource with advice regarding broadcast and film release forms in Canada and in the UK and how they might differ from what we use in the US.
