I have a client that I represent with respect to U.S. legal matters only who wants to control what music is played on its phone lines while its customers, suppliers and other callers are on hold. They have put together a system that plays whatever cd the administrator puts on the system. The client is located in Canada.
I assume there are organizations in Canada that can provide an adequate license to do what this client wants to do. I also assume that failing to get a license would be violation of Canadian law, but if I am wrong on this assumption, I would appreciate correction. Can someone direct me to an organization in Canada the client can contact? Or can BMI, ASCAP and SESAC handle this?
Thanks in advance,
Chuck Meyer
