ILEX Briefing Trips Come to the United States!!

The International Legal Exchange (ILEX) program will host its first ILEX Briefing Trip to the United States this spring.

The U.S. Briefing Trip is designed to meet the professional interests of non-U.S. based lawyers by providing opportunities to learn about doing business in the United States and with International Organizations. The many substantive briefings and seminars will be complemented by numerous social events providing ample networking and relationship building opportunities.

Activities, Dates, and Locations

Washington, DC     June 15 - 17, 1998
        Visit with Congressional leaders on Capitol Hill
        Examine the Executive Branch with emphasis on trade matters
        Attend briefings at the World Bank and other int'l financial
          institutions
        Learn about the American judiciary system
        Meet with leaders of the ABA and the Section of International
          Law and Practice

New York           June 18 - 20, 1998
        Visit and examine the New York Stock Exchange first hand
        Attend briefings at the American Arbitration Association
        Meet with representatives of the United Nations and other
          affiliated international agencies
        Attend receptions and other social events hosted by prominent
          U.S. law firms
