Dear readers,
A couple of days ago, I posted a note about a problem we experienced delivering some mail. It happened again today, and I have discovered what is causing the problem. In a short time, I will be re-posting several messages which were sent to this list over the past several days.
I received a patch for the ListProcessor on the CREN distribution list for ListProcessor last Friday, and installed it on Saturday. Unfortunately, there was a bug in the patch that caused messages to be delivered with invalid header information on lists which are configured in a certain manner. I noticed this earlier today in reviewing the archives for the affected lists. I believe this problem will not affect Digest delivery of messages.
If you have received some of these messages I am re-posting previously, you will have noticed that not all of the header information was present. Notably, the malformed messages were missing subject lines and contained only an e-mail address in the RFC822 From: field.
I apologize for the duplication and any problems this might have caused.
