Dear Craig,

     I learned today that Ralph Brown died two weeks ago, on June 17. As far as I can tell, the national newspapers haven't carried the story. The Yale Press release says only that he died "after a brief illness." I thought that the news should be posted to CNI-Copyright in some form, but wasn't sure whether you would receive several such messages from people, who like me, just heard the news, and thought that in any event it would be good for the announcement to come from the list manager.
