"Honest folk" include authors, artists, musicians, filmmakers, etc. Their rights deserve at least as much respect as your neighbors' rights. I think the Texaco case demonstrated both how easy it is for other honest folk to rationalize their piracy as fair use and how arduous it is to enforce copyright on published materials.
