Bill Strong is one of the founders of the Boston Copyright Society and has been a copyright practioner since ~1980 when he advised the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on issues relating to the 1976 reform act. His work is extremely well-respected.
I don't know if there is a later edition of this work, but 1990 is obviously not current on Internet issues.
