Title I of S. 505, the "Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act," went into effect on the date of enactment (Oct. 28, 1998) (see section 104).

The effective date is delayed for 90 days only with respect to the provisions in Title II, which amend section 110(5) of the Copyright Act in respect of certain public performances of musical works by restaurants and certain other commercial establishments (see section 207).
