I think that the example of Shatner's cover of "Mr. Tambourine Man" (and, for that matter, his cover of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds") is in serious danger of being eclipsed as a bad example of such recordings by Sean Connery's recent recording of "In My Life" ("There awre plaishes, aw'll remuhmbuhr....").
