Thanks to everyone who responded on the watermarking/tracking issue. Your contributions were very helpful. I will be speaking on issues relating to IP in the 21st Century at the California Governor's Conference on the Arts, and thought it would be interesting to approach IP from the technological side of potential solutions. If anyone cares to share some speculations, I'd be happy to appropriate them for my own purposes (with credit of course!).
