Yes, but for some weeks now the "file created" date has no longer been available in a "whois" search.

Knowing when the file was created is important to knowing when a domain name was originally registered ... and knowing when a domain name was originally registered is essential to knowing whether the owner of a registered trademark identical to the second-level domain can challenge the domain name under NSI's dispute policy or not, since the trademark registration must precede the domain name registration.

It is now virtually impossible for trademark attorneys to counsel trademark clients on their rights as against identical domain names, since the database no longer allows you to determine whether the domain name was registered before or after the trademark.

What surprises me is that no one seems to be outraged by this.
