It likely will be of interest to the list that the Ontario Library Association (oldest such society in Canada and 2nd oldest in North America) has established a Web site related to Canadian copyright matters: http://www.ola.amlibs.ca/copyrighthome.html and there are several documents posted there, as well as links to other sites. Among the OLA documents of possible interest are:

  1. OLA Copyright Task Force Commentary on Phase II copyright changes
(ie. as result of passage of Bill C-32) affecting libraries and
archives - with updated info re which sections of C-32 are and are not yet proclaimed and in force.
  2. OLA Copyright Task Force Commentary on the January 30, 1999 Regulations for the Book Importation and the Exceptions for Educational Institutions, Libraries, Archives and Museums sections of the Copyright Act, as "pre-published" in _The Canada Gazette_
(a Report to OLA's Board of Directors).
  3. OLA Board of Directors Response to the Gazetted Regulations, prepared by the OLA Copyright Task Force.
