As I wrote in another message, I did mean 'profoundly' banal (no less haughty, but at least gramatically correct). I've never been a fan of Jeff Koons' work (or lack thereof, as it were) but the Koons decision DID disturb me. I have not reviewed the case since entering the IP field two years ago, but I will. I feel obligated to defend the right of mockery which, in my opinion, was exactly what Koons' piece was.
