Actually, there is a site that has great links to the RIAA pleadings and to press releases in general re: MP3. It's probably the easiest place to start, because a lot of US newspapers have run articles of varying quality on the subject and I wouldn't waste my time there. As memory serves, the site is http://www.mp3.com/news/. Good luck.
