One of the best instances I have from personal memory was when one of my choral directors, who would look the other way when he felt it necessary to provide pieces of music, did a complete turn-around the day a piece of his was published and copyrighted. And we have heard more than one professor argue his right to copy somebody else's work under fair use, but same professor would have a seizure if someone else wanted to copy HIS work - under fair use.
