Bob Starrett has an interesting article called "Copying Music to CD: The Right, The Wrong and the Law" online at:

   http://www.cdpage.com/Audio_Compact_Disc/rightwrong.html

It's a basic primer on AHRA issues, oriented towards non-lawyers. It pre-dates the Rio suit.

MP3.com (where until recently I was general counsel) also has a variety of articles on MP3-related legal issues, also oriented towards non-lawyers, mixed in with general MP3-related commentary. You could start at http://www.mp3.com/news/daily.html and skim the article titles on the right side of the page.
