Those of you who are subscribed to the list in digested format did not received your mailings yesterday because the Coalition's Internet circuit went dead around 15:30 EDT Thursday June 3. The mail (which other subscribers had received earlier in the day) was sitting in digested form in our mail queue, awaiting delivery while the circuit was down.
It turns out that a Bell Atlantic technician, presumably on a service call for another company in our building, accidently disconnected some wires from one of our punchdown blocks yesterday afternoon. Of course, the guy who disconnected the line works for Bell Atlantic's telephony group and the guy who had to come back and fix it worked for the high capacity circuit group. Apparently the two units don't play well together.
Our network connection came back online around 10:00 EDT Friday June 4. We apologize for the service disruption.
