CNI-COPYRIGHT readers,

In a few moments, I will be sending out messages for the last several days in June (27th through 30th). Over the past weekend, and in the early days of this week, I was in New Orleans attending the annual meeting of the American Library Association. Unfortunately, I was staying with some colleagues in a bed and breakfast at the far end of the French Quarter. While the accomodations were lovely, the phones in the BnB were 'hard-wired' on the handset end. None of six people sharing the BnB had the foresight to pack a piece of RJ11 telephone cord (normally I keep one in the zipper pocket of my suitcase), so we had five laptops available to us but nobody could get online.

I was able to get onto the network from the convention center on Saturday and Sunday (thus, there were postings this Sunday when normally there are not on the CNI-COPYRIGHT list). However, my meetings were all in conference hotels on Monday and Tuesday, and I was unable to hoof it down to the convention center during the early days this week. Never did find a Radio Shack... and kept forgetting to check the Walgreen I walked past twice every day.

Sorry for the delay. We'll be back on schedule after today...
