I would appreciate hearing from anyone on the list concerning reproduction of materials for the web or other uses. Please reply to me by e-mail, and I will post summary responses to the list.

  1. Can a university archives copy entire yearbooks or photos of individuals from a yearbook onto its website? Does one need to get permission from the inidividuals photographed before putting their images on the web? What if the individual is deceased?
  2. What elements are recommended for a form to be signed by a copyright holder giving a library/archives permission to reproduce his/her work for the web? For other uses? Is anyone aware of a web site that shows examples of such forms?
