Question is posted to current interpretation of what is "aggregate quantities... of periodical articles" as requested by libraries. The '79 interpretation as put forth in the CONTU (National Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyright Works)guidelines aggregate quantities "shall mean... any given filled requests of a library (from any given periodical) within any calendar year for a total of 6 or more copies of an article published in such periodical within 5 years prior to the date of the request."
Question: Is this still valid in light of the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Amendment of '98)?
Please refer your factual based interpretation to Lgera[_at_]sherikon.com
Thank you.
