Copyright for Venice

Hello,

I read that the Mayor of the city if Venice, Italy, would like to issue a copyright and register the name of Venice, which will copyright the commercial usage of the name of Venice in any manner, including the usage of the name, of images of the cities, ecc.

This issue is coming out after so many places like Las Vegas, Burxelles, ecc. have earn much $$$ using the facade of that city to re-create that city on those locations...

Any remark about this issue? Andrea
