i haven't the foggiest idea about any terms of use that DejaNews may have posted for its users, but many websites that offer discussion boards have it explicitly stated that all postings become the property of the organization who runs the discussion board. eventually we're sure to see some of the discussion threads published... (particularly once someone realizes that their archives contain early work by "now famous" authors. maybe about 10 years from now...)
